Hello! My name is Melissa, my husband Jason, and I are the owners and breeders of Pack River Poodles and Doodles. Along with our two sons, we live along the shores of the Pack River, near beautiful Sandpoint, Idaho, about 2 hours from Spokane, Washington and only 6 hours from the Greater Seattle Area. Our dogs are an important part of our family, and we couldn’t imagine life without them. They live in our home, sleep near (or on) our beds and we are committed to giving their puppies the very best start to life possible.
Raising future family members
We follow the B.A.B. puppy raising protocols.
- We breed health and temperament tested parents to give us a strong foundation.
- We use Early Neurological Stimulation & Early Scent Introduction (ENS, ESI) to jump start their potential.
- We provide developmentally appropriate, daily curriculum to guide, shape and empower our puppies to be the best they can possibly be.
- We perform 10 step handling, tons of sight and sound exposure, socialization and an introduction to potty and crate training to set the best foundation possible.
- Also, prior to puppy selections, we perform and share with our clients our Empowered Breeder Puppy Evaluations, honoring our puppies needs and helping to give our clients more insight about their future furry their family member.

Getting our puppy from Pack River was the best decision we could’ve made! Koa is 15 weeks now and he’s such a sweet & healthy boy! He has been wonderful with our kids and is so confident, attentive and smart. Melissa clearly puts so much effort into raising her puppies and it pays off.
